anonymous asked: The queen Emma Thompson :D – if just one person runs this account, I am seriously I-M-P-R-E-S-S-E-D

I get help from infj-zen in the form of finding hard-to-find types (and in talking over typings and theories with her and enfjpuppettheatre and also my lesser-known intj sister), but unless otherwise noted, I create all the posts and answer all the asks myself.

…Which is why I’m at 1691 people to type and about 80 not-a-typing asks.

Anyway!

You’re in luck, Emma Thompson’s already typed.  You might check out the searching tag for advice on how to find her.

anonymous asked: Is it just me or are ENTJ’s really into history? I’ve been going through and watching videos of people in that tag, and the number of them that mention majoring in history, or wanting to teach history, seems disproportionately – like crazy disproportionately – high. Could this be a hive-mind thing?

My sense is that ENTJs are into education, period.  Their own and other people’s.  ENTJs can be found in pretty much every avenue of academia there is.

I don’t think my cross-section of the ENTJ population gives an accurate represenation of the ENTJs out there, only the more visible ones.  I think a lot of people in the tag are politicians and writers (maybe a bunch of actors), which is all arts related jobs where history is very and immediately applicable.  The fashion designer also takes a historical/research approach.

Did you also find, though, that the science/tech ENTJs were talking about history?  (I don’t honestly remember, and am curious.)

It’s my 5-year site anniversary – have some pie!

This is a chart showing the breakdown of my site (all 3168 people) by type, as of June, 2019:

  INFP – 1.5%, INFJ – 1.8%

The left side is ESFJ, ESFP, ESTP, ESTJ and ENTP, which are the five most visible types in the media and correspondingly, 50% of the site.  I don’t go searching for people of any of these types, but I’m definitely asked about them more than any others.  This makes up the core cast of most tv shows, most comedy, most reporting, most show hosting.

The bottom right side – ISTP, ISFP, ENTJ, ENFP, INTP and ISTJ – are also fairly visible in the media and make up another 40% of the site.  An exception should be made for INTP women, who do not turn up as often as their male counterparts.  I do sometimes go looking for these types in academia, professions, politics, business, sports, music, or behind-the-scenes work (eg. screenwriting), but I usually happen upon them without too much effort.

The other 10% of the site – ENFJ, ISFJ, INTJ, INFJ, INFP – I usually find by luck, or by looking at family members of more famous people or by guessing what work they might find themselves in and then looking through every single person in that specific field of work to find the one person of that type.  ENFJ men are another gender disparity, much less visible than ENFJ women.

I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be concluded from this except that in general, some types are more likely to seek out or are more comfortable with media attention than others (which, I mean – obviously).

Maybe I’m just sublimating a need for pie – it would explain a lot.
