Are you sure about Charlie Rose? My impression of estj’s is that their auxiliary Si makes them very conventional and concerned with propriety, and well he seems like a bit of a dork.

Anonymous said to mbti-sorted: Are you sure about Charlie Rose? It could be because I only know
female estj’s, but I kind of get entp vibes from him. If I’m way off
could you explain why, really trying to get better at typing.

Anonymous said to mbti-sorted: I’m curious, why estj for Charlie Rose, I would have thought entp.

I’m not 100% sure, mostly because I’ve only seen him interview others instead of being interviewed himself.  He does seem like an SJ, though.  I clearly need to add more Ne-heavy ESTJs to the tag, though, because they are good people (and so, SO dorky!)

I recently found my type! I’m an ENTP, so yay half the work’s done, but I’m finding it really frustrating that all the descriptions just basically say “hyper, brainiacs”. I’ surprised how one-dimensional the profiles are especially compared to other types. You seem really good at picking up nuances among the types, what’s your take on ENTP’s?

Congrats, firstly!

As far as the ENTP type, hyper brainiac is one aspect that crops up again and again, and seems to suggest a lot of Ne and a lot of Ti.  Basically, your stereotypical profile-perfect ENTP.  It doesn’t really do much to describe the ENTPs with a lot of Si or Fe (practicality and empathy, in the simplest terms).

If you think of it maybe like a soundboard, the hyper brainiac has their Ne and Ti slid to the highest level (with probably low levels for Si and Fe).  Most ENTPs have mid range levels, with Ne and Ti a little higher than Si and Fe.  Shadow-functioning ENTPs have a lot of Fe and/or Si.

Ann Coulter, estp? I would’ve figured extj for her…. would like very much to hear your thoughts!

Anonymous said to mbti-sorted: I asked about Ann Coulter because I have a relative who reminds
me of her but we have language barriers so I can’t figure out n/s.
Anyway thanks for taking the time to check her out!

Anonymous said to mbti-sorted:  I see you moved some bodies from estj to estp. Ok estp for Ann Coulter makes more sense now 🙂

I always thought Jennifer Lawrence looks just like Diane Ladd (mother of Laura Dern) and can give some knockout performances in her movies. But maybe she can be the person who can help you figure out what Jennifer Lawrence is. I also think she and Jen Aniston are somewhat a like.

Anonymous said to mbti-sorted: Just went thru esfj tag and Jen Lawrence works in there. I also
see you moved Diane Keaton to esfj and when she used to be in the enfp
tag I always thought Diane Keaton there justified Jennifer Lawrence
since they have that same quality.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.  I’ll leave her in there for now.

Hi, sorry to bother you. Can you consider Se-Ti for Jennifer Lawrence? Or maybe Se-Fi? I can’t see Ne-Fi coming from her latest polemic interviews

First of all, I would like to mention that being blind to your own privilege is not type-specific.

I’ve been thinking she’s maybe an ESFJ, though, for a while now.  She’s got kind of Carrie Fisher irreverent humour (strong tertiary Ne, which is why I keep confusing the ESFJs for ENFPs), and does a… blanked out face? that I always used to see on Elizabeth Taylor
(I don’t really know how to describe it, I just always found it noticeable).  Using your own humiliation to make people laugh is totally an Fe thing as well.

I haven’t switched her though because for all of that I’m still finding it hard to look at her and think ESFJ (I think I’m missing a person between her and the rest, maybe, so it’s not sitting easy), and also because the clumsiness is confusing.  The ‘dizzy dame’ thing, sure.  SJs incapable of walking?  A bit harder to overlook.

I think I’m convincing myself to move her tentatively, though, anyway.  So.
