when it comes to alex, theres this quote of him… that always get to me: “lot of people tell me im a bit… dreamy. but I like the idea of that; of being somewhere else.” does that say something about isfps?

It sounds like something an ISFP might conceivably say, but I get reluctant to ascribe words and phrases (especially without context) to particular types.

The fact that people describe him as dreamy (I am taking this to indicate ‘head in the clouds’ not ‘super attractive’) would be a better indicator to me, i.e. I would be more inclined to think of him as an IFP.

are INFP’s more likely to suffer from mental health problems such as depression and anxiety (low self esteem) because they set very high standards of themselves which they can’t always meet.

It is statistically improbable that INFPs are greater sufferers of mental illness, given that 1 in every 4 people in the world will deal with some kind of mental illness in their lifetime.  (WHO report, 2001)

There are a lot of factors that go into your mental health (e.g. genetics, environment, etc.), but I doubt that MBTI is one of them.  Mental illness seems to affect every type pretty indiscriminately.

I know you’ve been asked before, but why do you think Ian Somerhalder is an ESTP? Would you mind explaining? Not questioning your typing but I was quite surprised

Ummmm… I had him in my head as an ISFP for a while, then actually watched him in interview and he just… reminded me of other ESTPs?  Sorry, I don’t really have a lot to say about him, which is why I went with a gif in the first place.  If you are wondering about something specific…?

is there a person who u just cannot type you know cause they are too confusing….? who?

*ahem*

Sorry about that.  Nearly everyone I’ve ever typed has been confusing at some point or another.

There’s an “under review” tag which has some people I’m currently confused about (though it’s by no means a comprehensive).  I’m also thinking of going back and annotating old posts a bit, so some of that might show up then.
