I have a semi-interesting question for you, how do you think mental illness affects MBTI, if it does in fact effect MBTI? This might be the reason for the debate on Halsey (she has bipolar-disorder). I’m really interested to hear your perspective.

I am looking through the wikipedia list of famous people with bipolar, and there isn’t anything especially weird MBTI-wise.  I’ve typed a bunch of people on here, and while most of them are every kind of ExxP, there’s a couple of introverts and at least one J (every function covered between them).  If bipolar does affect MBTI, I don’t think it affects it in a way such that their body language, etc. appears any different from others of their type (or at least not in any of the interviews I’ve watched – although to be honest I’m not any kind of expert and am unlikely to pick up on indicators).

“I have done the math.” <3 Your answer is more detailed than I could have hoped for! At the same time, I am not sure I conveyed how inane and ridiculous the questions are that I aim to receive permission for — I suppose I'll leave it to you to protest if the questions get too insipid! Or you can shame me with a well-chosen gif :) Did I ask you to type Tim Minchin yet? You should do that. But not before… anyone else I might have harassed you about. …I've said too much. (flees into the night)

To answer the question in there, I do have an ask for Tim.  As for the rest… at least you are in the appropriate month if you’re trying to scare me off??

I feel so bad about sending you asks. Is it easier if asks come with guess attempts so the ask if more an ask for clarification? Like if I want to send one for another couple, is it better if they come: Susan Sontag (ENFP) and Annie Leibowitz (ENTP)?

Well… there’s not really anything from an ask format perspective that will make the typing go any faster or easier, but I do like the typing requests and the not-a-typing-posts to be separate, if possible.

No worries for Susan and Annie (I gave them both draft posts so as not to misplace them when I answered your ask), but FYI: asks that go in multiple directions and require me to go in multiple directions to answer them usually get held up until I can answer everything – which can be a while.

About what percentage of your asks are people to be typed, vs. clarifications/disagreements about your typing of someone, vs. other miscellany? Also, are silly questions an okay or even enjoyable break from the more serious and time consuming task of trying to type someone, or does each numerical increase in your unanswered/unread mail make your soul cringe? I shall wrestle down my remaining curiosity, pending an answer to these questions.

I have done the math:

Inbox/Drafts: approx. 5 (1% not a typing asks): 500 (99% typing asks)

Posted: 338 (34% not a typing asks): 634 (65% typing asks), with 972 total.

Total: 343 (23% not a typing asks): 1134 (76% typing asks), 1477 total.

I don’t mind questions!  You’re okay to send me whatever you like.  If I can’t answer, I’ll let you know.

Re: the ever expanding state of my inbox, I’ve gone past terror into a state of extreme calm.  There was a time I used to check out everyone I was asked to type (at least pictures), but I have no idea who like, half the people are in there anymore.
