How long on average does it take you to make up your mind about someone’s type? After watching/listening to them?

Factoring in all the people I’m only now realizing I’ve got wrong and have had to retype, the average is probably at least a year.

It depends on if I know and have typed people who are like the person I’m typing. If I’ve got a pattern, then seconds to minutes. If not, anywhere from minutes to years.

About Werner Herzog I agree that he is ENTP. I watched interviews of some of the other ENTPs in your tag and I see it now. Moving on to ENFJ and language, you mean they watch their language in terms of cursing or more colorful words? The ENFJs I know like to toss in the f-word every once in awhile in casual convo. It’s almost like a little random surprise and it’s done casually. Usually I’m all, did I hear right and realise I did hear right. I notice it in both males and females. Your thougths?

No, I don’t really mean swearing. I think ENFJs have an innate sense of what is appropriate and when the atmosphere is relaxed, they’re okay with dropping it in there. ENFJ inappropriateness tends toward making themselves look like total weirdos if they think it will amuse you.

ENTPs have an element of this, but they also have a kind of “tell it like it is” mode sometimes where they either don’t see or don’t care when they’re being or bordering on insensitive (or are trolling on purpose). Again, not really about swearing, just having to pick your way around words comes very naturally to the ENFJs – ENTPs usually come across a little sharper or a lot more anxious.

“Enh, I still think ENTP. Not nearly smiley enough to be an ENFJ. Doesn’t tell stories like an ENFJ, either.” ohh I see the difference now. In a weird way ENFJ Fe is more lowkey than ENTP Fe can sometimes be when it comes to using it. I can see how present and there an ENFJ is. ENTP is there but Ne keeps them energetic. ENFJ feels warm and solid with softness. How do ENFJ tell stories?

I’m retracting the ENFJ story thing.  I think there’s enough crossover between the range of ENFJ and ENTP stories that there’s not that much difference, overall.  ENFJs tend to watch their language more, whether or not they’re school teachers.

I think I’m just seeing *ENTP* and so anything he does would not be the ENFJ way.

Sarah Jessica Parker ESFP – interesting. i watched a lot of interviews and thought she had Si. am shocked to see she’s Se dom. I see the differences between SJP and her hubby Matthew Broderick but can you talk a bit about SJP’s Se? I must be confusing the two somehow and I’d like to know how when it comes to typing. What are you looking for and what was I missing?

She’s an EFP who doesn’t say N-type things.  I can’t speak to the Se vs Si, because I don’t type by functions, sorry.

Halsey seems like an obvious ENFP to me, but of course I may be incorrect. What are your reasons for ti>fi and fe in general? Almost all her reasonings in interviews seems fi to me. I would love to hear your reasoning because maybe I am not picking up on certain aspects of her personality. :-)

I totally had Halsey typed as an ENFP, what makes you say ESTP? I’m very curious, because I can see that argument too.

Very quick linear thinker with good business sense.  Kind of flatish tonally, and expressively.  Doesn’t smile much.  Doesn’t say N-type things.
