What happened to PJ?

Okay, last and only word on this in hopes that it remains as undramatic as it has been so far:

PJ contacted me about my post and I offered to take it down… and then I took it down.

I am frankly only surprised that no one has asked me to remove a post before, but I’ve also been told I am overestimating the importance of mbti in most people’s lives and need to chill.  So, there’s that.

I know for sure I’m an NFP. But since I have autism it’s hard to tell whether or not I’m an ENFP or INFP. How can I figure out my type?

I haven’t done much with the type divergent tag in a while… I think in retrospect most of the people I was noticing were possibly bi-polar and occasionally being interviewed while in a manic state.  Having multiple different behaviour patterns was kind of throwing me off.

On the other hand, I did just type Dan Akroyd (diagnosed with aspergers) as ENFP, and there is not a lot of difference mbti-wise between him and the rest of the tag.  Maybe watching people in the ENFP and INFP tags to see if you relate more strongly to one group will still work for you.  I hope so!

Evans anon here! Yeah, I’ve never seen myself as a manic pixie dream, it’s more an ESFP thing I guess? Our stack is a bit darker, not openly, but when intuiting various outcomes, one has to either be naive or dumb not to think of the worst case scenarios or where stuff can be improved. And yet, the things we do say, tend to be generally positive. I don’t like delving too much into theory, it’s more gut feel 😄. Though, lots of analysis exists over on the ENFP subreddit.

Sure, okay.  I’m just amused because burdened intensity is a pretty dramatic thing to think about yourself.  Amazing, but – wow!

Concerning ENFJ vs ESFJ sorry situational extroversion sounded right in my head. You explained the degrees of comfort an ENFJ would feel depending on the person they are around or how confident the ENFJ feels . I guess is would an ENFJ appear less of an extrovert than an ESFJ normally would. I think of the child that comes across as proper in public but is more at ease and goofy at home.

Um… if you’re looking at comparably extraverted ESFJs and ENFJs… say Emma Thompson and Meryl Streep, I don’t think one comes across as more extraverted than the other?

Maybe by way of there being more S types out there, though, more ESFJs feel comfortable quickly around new people than ENFJs?

I was thinking about what you said about types and similarities in muscle tension. I don’t want to open a can of worms, but do you think that can carry over to handwriting? I’ve noticed the INTP’s I know tend to have tiny, intricate handwriting; the guys and the girls, regardless of their first language.

This is something you should look into!

I have no idea, personally – I type by watching interviews, and there’s not a lot of handwriting going on there.
